Adv. Itumeleng Mabaya
Adv Itumeleng Kekana is an accomplished individual with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree from the University of South Africa (UNISA) and a certificate in Prospecting and Mining law from the University of the Witwatersrand – Mandela Institute. She is recognised as an Advocate of the High Court of South Africa. In addition to her legal qualifications, she holds significant roles as a Director and founder of Bathuseng Consulting, a case management company and Bathuseng Legal.
Adv Itumeleng is a trailblazer who identified a gap and seized the opportunity to combine
her entrepreneurial passion with her expertise. This led to the establishment of Bathuseng Consulting, a unique fusion of Law and Occupational Therapy. Throughout her
career, she has gained valuable experience in various legal divisions, specialising in
contracts, personal injury claims, labour law, medical negligence, third-party claims and now
mining law.
Belinda Matore
Belinda Matore is a Director and Legal Consultant at Bathuseng Legal, recognised for her integrated approach to private-law practice and the evolving regulatory challenges of the digital environment. She advises on complex contract matters, regulatory compliance and civil disputes, drawing on a background that blends practical litigation experience with advanced academic expertise.
She holds an LLB from the University of South Africa and an LLM in Private Law from the University of Pretoria. She is completing her LLD at the University of Pretoria, where her research focuses on child online safety and platform regulation. This work informs her broader interest in legal technology and digital governance, enhancing the depth and relevance of her advisory practice.
Belinda’s experience spans contract law, civil litigation and specialised private-law matters, including sports and family law. Her time in high-value civil claims litigation has given her a strong appreciation for precision, risk assessment and client strategy.
She has participated in international legal education programmes, including the Salzburg Summer School on European Private Law, and holds further certifications in Advanced Human Rights Law, Medical Law and Commercial Drafting. This exposure to comparative and interdisciplinary frameworks supports her ability to navigate both domestic and cross-border regulatory issues.
Lihleli Xotyeni
Lihleli Xotyeni is the Head of the Sports Division at Bathuseng Legal, FIFA Accredited Football Agent, FA Accredited Football Agent and FA Talent ID Holder. He has a professional background that combines football experience, legal insight, marketing and talent evaluation expertise. He brings a holistic approach to athlete representation and
career management. His playing experience provides him with a deep understanding of the game’s demands, culture and opportunities. This enables him to advocate strategically on behalf of athletes and support their long term development both on and off the pitch.
